For a while I’ve been meaning to find out the exact age of my amp. I bought it from Steve at Vintage Music in the mid 90’s and it had been sitting in a closet so long, we had to take out the chassis and suck all the dust out with a shopvac. It still had the original tubes. According to hendrixguitars.com, my Vibrolux Reverb serial number A13652 was built in the 2nd half of 1969. It could have gone to Woodstock! This has been my main amp for many years, after messing around with a Fender Twin Reverb, Fender Princeton, Music Man, Peavy and a few others. I use a 5 watt Epiphone Valve Junior for rehearsals and the Hankover, but for everything else, I love my Vibrolux. My Harmony Rocket plugged straight into my Vibrolux and turned up to about 7 was the sound of the Co-Dependents. I just try to keep it tuned up and change the tubes every once in a while, because I don’t know what I’d do without it. After a while, your amp becomes like another appendage!
