Recorded just after my 30th birthday, this was an ambitious attempt to sum up all my musical influences; rock, pop, country, psychedelia, rockabilly and early jazz. The opening number “Twenty One Now” was strongly influenced by Shawn Colvin. There are also audible influences from Brian Ferry, Joni Mitchell, Willie Nelson and Elvis. Great piano work by the legendary Willie MacCalder, whom I was working with a lot at the time. This CD includes the original recording of “Too Bad For Me” featuring Jane Hawley on duet vocal.
